I must admit to being extremely fortunate in having my work displayed each month so far in 2012.
Vamp Stamp News is my all time favourite stamping magazine, and one that I have subscribed to for years. Early this year I promised myself to submit to all Nancie Watermans ( the Editor) challenges. She just does a fabulous job running this magazine, completely as a one woman business.
This months challenge was to use scrap papers in our art work, providing there was at least one stamped image included. I chose to create a random serendipity background using cut off triangular strips of decorative paper. The pirate images were from a very new set by Sparklensprinkle. I had lots of fun using these colourful pieces of scrap. The Ahoy mate also comes from the same set and is just perfect for a junior masculine card.
The second card I had published was one using small "patchwork" squares and a computer generated verse. The stamp image I used I was a border sewing stamp from Stampin Up.
To compliment the design I added various coloured buttons and some scrap thread
