I was using a sketch from Colorful Creations to make a card that required a banner. Rather than use the usual pennant type I decided to make my own by using a strip of old lace. The card is a 6inch square that used papers from Crafty Individuals and a copy photograph from the same UK company. The nverse is from Hero Arts and the friend to friend from Stampin Up.Stampinslippers-lakeslady

Never thought I would enjoy making
I never thought I would enjoy using scrapbook sketches either for my card making, or indeed for making Scrapbook pages. Since joining Colorful Creations I have been so busy, and I am enjoying it too.

Pick of the Day
Recently I have been adapting the sketches used by the Scrap booking site,Colorful Creations, to use as designs for my card making. Wow the folks there are wonderful, and this week I was awarded Pick of the Day for the design of this layout. I hasten to add, that as cute as this little doggie might be, he does not belong to me. The picture was downloaded from the Internet. The word stamp was from, I Brake for Stamps, and all the lovely ribbons are by my favourite ribbon supplier Really Reasonable Ribbons

Thinking of you
It is well over two months now since I lost my dear Dad, and of course he is still never far from my thoughts. It should have been easier to accept his death when it happened, as he had reached the great age of 92. Still that was not the case, but I am trying to keep busy and things are getting easier. Today I was able to think about him with more pleasant thoughts than before.Wednesday, 9 May 2012
Published again
Another complimentary magazine arrived in my mail today. I was surprised to find this old card that I had designed over twelve months ago in the Showcase gallery of Scrap and Stamp Arts, July 2012 edition. Not that I am complaining and I am sure that SparklensprinkleTuesday, 8 May 2012
Valuable Friends
So often there is a need to send valued friends a card. I love using vintage photographs and these were a few I found in my stash recently. The verse I used was an old one from Posh Impressions and the flowery swirl and flower were from a Stampin Up set gifted to me by one of those dear friends. At least by meeting some challenges ,I am not only managing to keep myself busy, but also to keep my blog fairly well up todate.Sunday, 6 May 2012
This is what I have been working on this weekend. I had a lovely surprise visit from my nephew and his partner and it certainly brightened my day. We got around to talking about past holidays and this inspired me when creating today's design. My husband and I discovered Italy a few years ago and the art work I saw there took your breath away.
